Welcome to Veto Voting In so doing those electors proved Veto Voting as a viable option for solving the problem of M.Ps who do not listen to the majority will of the people. Veto Voting is now proven as a viable and incredibly powerful political tool for your community. The initiative of Veto Voting was created by the will and vision of Malcolm McClure in February 2008. Mr McClure researched, designed and directed Veto Voting. After completing, he then gifted his intelectual copyright to Queensland electors. In the weeks prior to the election Members of the Queensland State Government and Public servants in the Queensland Electoral Commission intensly opposed Veto Voting. Numerous television advertisments and news stories were air and presented to the public that it is illegal to not vote and that those who do not vote will be fined. Fear and doubt was * To save their local council, electors lived their right to NOT VOTE with reason , by completing and sending to the government their Notice of Voter's Veto. Participating electors then did NOT VOTE in that election. By NOT VOTING via Notice of Voter's Veto, then at law the electors clearly showed they did not agree to create the new Regional Council. When a Majority completes their Notice of Voters Veto, then the Regional Council has no authority at law to exist. The Notice of Voter's Veto must be done to show your non consent to the abolishing of your shire. To fill out and send this Notice of Voter's Veto was one pathway to stop amalgamation. *
The 15 March 2008 election was a 'two choices' election.
Majority NOT VOTING via Notice of Voter's Veto is the only certain way to keep your local shire. |
The purpose of this website is:
1. To put to you the case why veto voting really works and how veto voting is a way for electors to cause the majority will to prevail above will of M.Ps.
2. To encourage you to give it a go and explore the option of veto voting and, if satisfied, to thereafter give veto voting a go.
3.
To provide for you to download your Notice of Voter's Veto for your matter. The forms that are downloadable from this site are for the 15th March 2008 Queensland election which is matter that is now finished. Veto Voting Notice is the only legal instrument you need to use to for your community matter.
4. To show you that WHEN THE MAJORITY DOES NOT VOTE THEN YOUR CURRENT COUNCIL AND CURRENT SHIRE CONTINUE AS NORMAL. Majority not voting means business as normal, and all the government can do is blow hot air, and huff and puff and threaten to blow down your house of bricks, the fortress of your non-consent and democratic, constitutional, and common law rights. Yes I want you to know the power of your individual and community non consent.
Many political matters are not over until you consent with either:
a)
your vote
b) your acquiesence with non-action
It does not matter how far down the track the government thinks it has gone, the final say is really up to you! Otherwise, as in the case of 15th March 2008 local Government election, if it really was all over, then why did government need your vote!?

Background. In Australia the discovered Majority Will of the constituents of Local, State and Federal governments is not being obeyed by their elected representatives. This is certainly the case with regards to the abolishment of local shires and their councils in Queensland, and the forcing of those shires and councils into a Regional Council. In the plebiscite referendum, the majority will of the constituents of 82 of the 85 participating Councils of Queensland is to NOT amalgamate with other council areas. Whilst the plebiscite is not binding on government, it is however, the duty of government to obey the discovered majority will. This duty is a foundation stone of representative democracy. Members of the Queensland State Government are obligated to obey the majority will to not amalgamate, which they did not do.
In certain rare cases, in order to cause governments to obey the discovered majority will, the constituents may exercise their rights to Boycott Voting. The case of the Queensland Government's forced abolishment of your local shires and councils is one of these rare cases. <<
