This page is infrequently maintained and we apologize for same. Whilst internet is good, we are aware that, very surprisingly, less than half of 6000 members use the web, hence we rely on our mail-outs and word of mouth to spread word of our seminars and courses.
For latest dates of events please contact 0409 978 305
OR confirm dates and times with the listed contact for an event BEFORE you attend that event. The venue, time and location of UPMART events is subject to change without notice, which change may not be updated on this web page. If you want to attend an UPMART event, please ring the contacts listed for that event.

several meetings focused on the many examples of human rights abuse by police.
class actions, protests.
Special meetings at this time by victims of police abuse and system abuse.

Jill 0408 110 351,
Prisoner rights
and vigilante police. It could be you! Examples of human rights abuse and the exercise of vigilante force by police are many. Why does the community and the press pretend it doesn't happen? Why do the media turn a blind eye? Do you agree that police should be permitted to torture prisoners? Torture takes many forms: physical beatings by police; mental & phsychological torture, denial of fluoride free water; denial of visitation rights;
...Malcolm was denied water for 2 days in remand at Ringwood Remand Centre, and when water was delivered to the jail by his friends, the officers in charge refused to give it to him, despite the fact that it was a police officer, by name of Alison, who phoned one of his home and requested that 6 liters of spring water be delivered to the Ringwood Remand Centre.
...Many prisoners have reported being abused by police.
Should police be in charge of remand centers or is it better to have independant state authorities as it is for correctional centers and other prisons. Is it wise to have police in control and care of the persons they arrest. What if the police are too involved with the arrested person. Will they be able to separate their prejudice or emotions sufficient to treat the prisoners fairly? The evidence suggests not.
And for those in prison, the situation is also bad.
Can you imagine a better, safer and fairer system?

Disclosed members-only meetings for members who are living their rights.  gotop.
